    Default Ipod Touch Feasibility?

    Hi there!
Is there any chance that rf.com would support the ipod touch? I'd really like to be able to talk to my friends over skype, while I'm on the go. With the advent of a touchmods mic you can now use your ipod touch as a phone. I also have an inbound number. Fring has something like this, but it only supports chat so far...no voice communication for the ipod touch. This would be awesome if you could support the touch!

Is the mic certified by Apple and the accessible through the Apple SDK?

I am not sure if the mic is certified by Apple. It is made by the touchmods.org team. The details of the mic can be found from their website at touchmods.org There is also a way to take an IvoiceIII mic from Walmart and make it work on the touch, but you have to be good at soldering. I believe that Touchmods is working with Apple to become certified. You can contact them from their website. They'd be able to tell you more.

See the reason I said "support the Ipod Touch" is because I registered like you would normally on an Iphone, but using my Ipod Touch. The problem I have is I logging in. The website doesn't treat my ipod as the iphone, I believe. When I log in, it takes me to the same screen as if I logged in on my laptop--not to the pin number stage......I thought the Ipod Touch used the same web browser as the Iphone, so I'm not sure why it does that. Perhaps because it indeed is not the phone, and the website can detect if it is an Iphone or not? I just thought it did it with the web browser...any ideas?

Any updates on Ipod Touch Feasibility? Do you think it could work? All of the source codes for the mic can be found at those websites. Just for the record the one of the websites I mentioned above should be "http://www.touchmods.org/..html"

Yes! With the advent of the new ipod touches, Apple is adding microphone support in the form of special headphones. This is def. a must!
